Is the Additional Debit Card a Secured Card?
▪ No, the Additional Debit Card is not a Secured Card. Members connect their bank account* so they can build credit* with debit and earn reward points* with the cash that they already have.

Why should I trust Additional with my bank account?
▪ We use Plaid to securely connect to your bank account. Plaid uses encryption and internationally recognized security standards to protect your information.

*Pricing and rewards availability will vary depending on plan and term selected. *Impact on your credit score may vary depending on your use. Additional is needed to report both on time and late payments, which may negatively impact your credit score. *In order to transact with your Additional Debit Card, you must have an active, Plaid-compatible bank acc linked to Extra’s services. Additional sets every Cardholder’s Spend Power based on a proprietary data-driven risk model, using objective signals to help in the identification of those Cardholders who intend and are able to pay for their transactions.

*Based on a survey performed by Extra, using data from Experian, studying changes in credit scores for Additional members between March 2021 to April 2022. We compared credit score changes in active Additional members who had a credit score of 650 or lower when they began using Extra, who had no delinquent payments with Extra, and who had no other trade lines at or above 100 percent balance ratio in the past Three months and compared these members to a control group. Over the 12 month period of the survey, these members increased their credit score by 47.8 points on average; the maximum credit score increase was 203 points. Impact on your credit may vary, as credit scores are independently determined by credit bureaus based on a number of factors, including your history with other financial services organizations.
